How verification works
Why these reviews are different.
Most contractor review sites let anyone post under any name. Nextdoor doesn't. To join Nextdoor a person has to confirm a physical residential address — usually by postcard or by matching a verified phone. That single requirement filters out the entire pipeline of paid review farms, anonymous trolls, and competitors leaving sock-puppet reviews. Every reviewer you see on this page is a real Venice, Sarasota, North Port, Nokomis, Osprey, or Englewood neighbor.
We can't edit Nextdoor reviews. We can't hide them. We can't even hand-pick which ones show up first. When a neighbor recommends us, that recommendation is public and permanent — and if someone had a bad experience, that would be public too. The pattern matters more than any single star rating: years of repeat referrals from the same neighborhoods, the same streets, sometimes the same households booking their second and third project.
