Why builder-grade lighting fails so fast in Florida

A huge percentage of Venice and North Port homes from the 2015–2022 building boom are right at the age where the original builder-grade fans, can lights, and outdoor fixtures all start failing within a year or two of each other. The capacitors in cheap fan motors die. The first-generation LED fixtures yellow and dim. Outdoor fixtures rust through.
